I'm a new member, I am looking for some opinions on a 1873 carbine I have. I have a number of Winchester rifles '73. '86, '92, and a couple of '94's. I also own a number of .22 cal. rifles and a model 12 and a model 42 shotguns. I'm 82, a veteran, I live in North Carolina and me and my English Setters like to quail hunt. My interest in guns is primarily Winchesters, Colt handguns, and American made double barrel shotguns.

Welcome to the forum, @eightquail. That’s an impressive Winchester collection, and quail hunting with English Setters sounds like a great way to spend time. Looking forward to hearing more about that 1873 carbine.
