Ahoy, Brand new member with a question. I recently purchased a Pigeon Grade 101 in 20 gauge and I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what I have. The serial # is PK2735XXE. The barrel is marked " Pigeon Grade XTR Lightweight". I understand the PK prefix indicates P=pigeon grade and the K =means made in Japan. Where I'm having trouble is the E at the end of the ser # and the "XTR" on the barrel. Additionally, due to a lack of Kodensa records I'm having difficulty figuring out about when it was made. FWIW, the wood is bordering on spectacular. My uneducated guess is about AAA. Any observations on it's identity? Thanks in advance

Welcome, @Buck45! Your 101 Pigeon Grade sounds beautiful.

PK = Pigeon Grade, made in Japan (Miroku)
XTR Lightweight = extra lightweight barrel version
E = production series/revision

Looks like a high-grade Japanese-made 101, AAA-level wood.
