101 20 DOUBLING

I've seen several posts in other forums concerning doubling, esp in the 20's. I found a "plate" that is supposed to stop it but after about 100 rounds thru it I didn't have the problem. Should I have a plate installed and then forget about having the problem? Thanks

“Doubling” is usually a mechanical or trigger system issue, not something you just permanently fix with a plate and forget about. If it’s gone after 100 rounds, it may have been an intermittent fitment or wear issue that temporarily resolved itself.

I wouldn’t add parts as a “just in case” fix. If it returns, have the fire control group inspected by a qualified gunsmith to confirm what’s actually causing it before changing anything.
