Started with Winchesters back in the spring of 1963. Dad got a bunch of prize points in a sales contest and got me a Model 70 Featherweight in 30-06, which arrived just after I graduated high school Shot it all through college. I was also on a ROTC smallbore rifle team and shot Winchester 52D target rifles. When I graduated college I found a Canadian Centennial model 94. A few years later as a USAF officer I was posted to Turkey and bought my Wife a little 1200 pump 20 ga and I got a field grade 101 in 20 ga also, still have both. As time went by I got a 1886 take down repro in 45-70 two of the 1894-1994 centennial models and finally a Model 52b repro. As I have gotten older shoot the 52b more than others and have been using it with a single shot sled to teach my grandson to shoot.

That Model 70 Featherweight coming from your dad's prize points is a heck of a story to start with. Do you still have that one?
